Community Questionnaire #1

Albemarle County is kicking off a two-year master planning process to create a safe, car-free route through Albemarle County, connecting the City of Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Tunnel in Nelson County. The trail will travel near Ivy, Crozet, Greenwood, and Afton. It will showcase the region's historic, natural, and agricultural resources and support the local recreation and tourism economy.

The Three Notched Trail (3NT) Shared Use Path Master Plan will combine technical analysis and community engagement to develop a preferred route, and preliminary plans will be developed for priority segments. We are in the early stages of gathering data, including public input. Your thoughts and ideas at this part of the process will help inform route options that will be discussed at a community meeting in the fall of 2025.

We appreciate your input!

Albemarle County is working hard to be inclusive in our outreach. We want to hear from as many people as possible, and the only way to know if we're achieving that is to learn a little about who responds to our questionnaires.

We won't use this information for any other purpose than improving our civic engagement strategy. All questions are optional.

Are you willing to share some information?
