Are you curious about what local government does and what services we provide?
Do you want to learn about the upcoming year's budget priorities and how those decisions are made?
Everyone is invited to attend the upcoming town hall and open house events with our elected officials, County executives, and local government staff.
Each event will follow the same format and will include the same information. At 6 pm, we will begin with an open house, where you will meet department staff and learn about the services we provide and the projects we undertake. At 6:30 pm, our County Executive will present the Fiscal Year 2027 budget, with a focus on the revenue outlook and priority projects. We will have time for audience questions and staff responses after the presentation.
Childcare for kids ages 6-13 will be provided at two events -- March 20 at Monticello High School and April 9 at Western Albemarle High School. Our Parks & Recreation staff will provide childcare and will have a variety of arts & crafts materials and board games.
We hope to see you at one (or more) of our Community Budget Town Halls!
