Project Update: July 2026

Since the December 2025 community event and online survey (which closed in February), our planning team has been performing additional technical analysis. The team has also been coordinating with key landowners whose property locations may affect the selection of one route over another.

The development of a single preferred trail route has been guided by the data and feedback we've received thus far. This includes considerations for safety, connectivity, and user experience. Public engagement on the project has been high, with over 4,000 comments received. Feedback has been largely positive and constructive. We invite you to review our summary of the community feedback.

Because landowner outreach is a key focus of the current phase of work, we are planning to host a public meeting in late summer or early fall. We expect the meeting to be an open-house format, and we will invite landowners affected by the single, preferred trail route, as well as the broader community. Following the community meeting, we will invite feedback on the proposed preferred route, both in person and via an online survey.

Stay tuned for more details about ways to participate in this important planning effort!
