We’re hosting a Community Meeting where you can:
- Hear a presentation on the project’s background, goals, and design ideas
- Explore the site plan up close to learn more about proposed features
- Connect with project staff and discover how the design has taken shape
This is part of a broader County effort to expand access to parks and trails in urban neighborhoods. Your input will help make sure the park reflects the needs of the surrounding community.

Community Meeting
You're Invited: Share Your Feedback on Hillsdale Pocket Park
Albemarle County is planning a new pocket park on Hillsdale Drive, just off Seminole Trail, and we want to hear from you!
Date: Monday, November 17
Time: 6-8 pm
Location: Church of the Incarnation, 1465 Incarnation Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22901
This project will transform an underutilized stormwater property into a vibrant, accessible green space with walking paths, native landscaping, seating, and a small off-leash pet area. Located near multifamily housing, shopping centers, and transit routes, the park will serve as a valuable recreational space for nearby residents and visitors alike.
We’re hosting a Community Meeting and Design Workshop where you can:
- Hear a presentation on the project’s background, goals, and early design ideas
- Explore open-house style stations to learn more about proposed features
- Share your feedback to help guide design decisions
