Project Update: Community Meeting to Discuss New Drafts

Following the project's deferral in April, staff has updated the original draft ordinance to reflect public feedback and previous direction from the Board of Supervisors. You are invited to a community meeting to learn about the proposed regulations, ask questions, and provide feedback.

How to Participate

Staff will hold a community meeting on Monday, June 15 at 6pm. The meeting will take place in Room A of the County Office Building at 1600 5^th Street, Charlottesville. More information about the meeting can be found here.

What's Available to Review

To help our community understand the proposed changes, the draft regulations are provided in three formats:

• Full draft with tracked changes
  All additions are underlined, and all removals are struck through.
• Full draft with tracked changes and staff comments
  This version includes explanatory notes from County staff to clarify the intent and context of each change.
• Focused draft for “short-duration agricultural engineering operations”
  This document includes only the sections relevant to these specific activities.
