Albemarle County's Engineering Division is proposing amendments to its Design Standards Manual and is offering a 30-day public review and comment period to community stakeholders.
The Albemarle County Design Standards Manual serves as a reference for administrative policies and practices. It was last revised in 2015, so an update is due to ensure it provides current guidance. The proposed amendments include updated code references, revised policies and practices, and changes that reflect new regulations, laws, and standards. The amended manual will be posted until Friday, September, 11, 2026, to allow for public comment. After that
