What is a Community Conversation Kit?
The Community Conversation Kit is a do-it-yourself (DIY) tool for community groups, neighbors, or friends to gather and share their thoughts and suggestions for building climate resilience.
What is included in the kit?
Who should be a host?
You do not need to be an expert in climate action or community resilience. If you have a desire to bring folks together to learn, share ideas, and build community, this is for you! We have designed the kit to be easy to use for everyone.
What does a host do?
As the host, you'll select a location, invite folks to your event, share materials, and be prepared to facilitate the conversation. The Kit includes details on how to prepare, host, and submit the results.
How long does a Community Conversation take?
We estimate that it takes about 2 hours for the whole Conversation Kit experience.
I want to host a virtual event for a large group. What tips can you give me?
At the heart of the Community Conversation is gathering people together to share ideas, learn new perspectives, and participate in this process. Whether hosting or participating, we ask that you bring your best self to the discussion. With that said, here is some additional guidance on hosting a virtual meeting.
